The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They facilitated a late checkout, gave away free drinks and were very mindful of our needs and wishes.

What was the highlight of TOA Hotel & Spa Zanzibar
Very Good
I found the hotel very clean, both inside the room and in the hotel facilities. The only place where I found some garbage (and it wasn't much) was on the beach, but that could be garbage that comes in with the tide. I didn't think there was a huge choice of food, but what there was was good. The cocktails were very good. The transfers were super punctual. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I found the hotel to be very much like the photos on Booking.
Things I think the hotel could do better: - Having more food options, especially at breakfast. I understand that the hotel isn't very big and maybe it's not worth having a lot of food and that it can even be difficult to access certain foods because it's in Africa. However, the food was generally good. - Clean up the seaweed on the beach. Things that I know the hotel can't control, but that I want to mention to warn future guests: - The tide is very irregular and there are times of the day when the sea is very far from the beach; - You need shoes to go into the sea because there are a lot of stones; - The salesmen on the beach are very insistent and when you refuse to talk to them they are not very friendly.

Paradise and the most delightful staff!
From the staff at the front desk (Ester), to Ahmed and Sophia in housekeeping, to all the restaurant staff- all wonderful and nothng was too much for them! The staff all work extremely hard, and always with a smile! The hotel is quite small, but it is lovely. We had a 'honeymoon suite with private pool', which was pure luxury! We had a beach facing room and would get up most mornings to watch the sunset above the sea from our private veranda with pool. The food options were lovely. I can not fault this place and would definitely recommend!
